Can you still actually get them? I bought vol. 1 years ago for ( get this ) $4.98 ( discounted of course ). Wish I had the other 2 vols but never see them in the store. Are they still in print?

Don't forget Deadbase!

Check Borders online or Barnes and Nobles. I've seen at least one edition at the Borders near me.

But maybe I celebrate Hanukuh and expect 11 more shows! j/k I feel truly ashamed at my greediness : (

I must make it up to the Universe! I'd gladly send you something only I don't know what you want or have.

Reminds me about once when I was a kid. The folks put a gift inside a box that once had some cleaning products or whatever it was. " Dishwashing soap!" I say all ungrateful like a greedy little punk only to find out something COOL was inside. Talk about feeling small.

1 Christmas wish. I wish I could re-live, at the push of a button, the moment when my daughter saw the Disney Princesses during the Holiday Parade at D-land. Her awe, excitement and innocence were all right there, written on her face! Brought a tear to my eye.

Sad thing is, the memory of that moment will fade. Still makes my heart pump just thinking of it now...

Oh, and a trip to Amsterdam w/ you guys.

You just went didn't you? Are these your only/first kids? I ask because you'd be surprised how long a child will remember that. They retain way more than we do.My 18 yr old astounds me with things from her "childhood".

hi Jody - Yes, 2 kids ages 5 and 1. I KNOW she will remember. What's sad is MY memory of the details(the look on her face, my feelings at that moment)will fade. I'll remember, but it won't be that 'stab you in the heart' type of memory...or, maybe it will.

How old are you? I ask only because if it was that special for both of you, you'll remember for some time. In fact it may be THE lasting memory from that age period. Be happy you were all fortunate enough to even experience it at all, don't worry about forgetting it already!

Good point. I'm just 35 and I'm sure I won't totally forget, but it's so clear and sharp in my mind now, just fear losing that a little....

You are correct though. It will be a TOP memory of my kids at their current ages.

Thanks Jody.

You'll wind up with a Best of memory album in your head. Plays, recitals, sports, mistakes/accidents=learning to ride bikes, etc etc. You forget the things that piss you off or get tedious (changing diapersx5). Its all good man. And while you hear it from everyone, enjoy it while it lasts. Our only one who is fn great, just finished applying to colleges. Empty nest next fall. She is so much smarter and more disciplined (self disciplined) than I ever was(or probably ever will be!)its something to behold. But then off to school she goes. Exciting/sad all at once.

A little. Once we got talking about the kids, it got all Wolfy and mushy, so of course I dragged the token female into the mix. Never said I was glad you kept on thru that little hiccup last week of the sexist deal. Way to hang tough !(would bang chests now in a manly way if we were at a bar-haha). Listen to that Simon and Garfunkel yet?

So far so good, but I really put it in her hands. She knows really what she could get away with, because all her friends do. I also thinks it would be hard for her to get one by me- you know , coming home buzzed. I think she can't beat me at was my game at her age. It actually a very fun mature relationship we have. Trying already to get her college tough.

Yeah, it does dwarf GD shows. My kids have given me many magic moments, but her face during that parade was one of those out-of-body, tunnel vision, heart jump outta' your chest experiences. I was floating.

$100???? NO WAY! I have vol. 1 and it is quite impressive, has lot's of great info, AND lots of killer pics BUT $100? That's a rip off considering a lot of info is going to be invalid just for the sheer reason that a lot of shows have become unearthed or other versions discovered. Things are even coming out that weren't in Deadbase. Amazing huh? I'd still love to get vols 2 and 3.
